Glenn Clark tells the camps about Merrill Vories, an American architect whose schools, TB hospital and factory in Japan he calls a fortress more powerful than all the atomic bombs in the United States. He runs his own publishing company at home on the same terms. He gave work to a woman just out of an asylum, and she became a museum curator. His first manager was a man who could not leave the penitentiary until someone offered him a job.
