Agnes Sanford leads the camps through an extended meditation. She pictures Jesus as a housekeeper entering a long-shut house to sweep out forgotten hurts. She illustrates it with a young immigrant soldier whose crippling fear vanished once she prayed for Christ to walk back through his childhood.
