Messages spoken at the Texas Thanksgiving Camps Farthest Out
Texas Thanksgiving CFO:
14 messages from 3 gatherings, 1982 to 1989.
In the late 1960s campers who had gathered at Thanksgiving for a retreat at the Lakeview Methodist Assembly Grounds in Palestine began the Texas Thanksgiving CFO, an extension of the regular Texas camp. Falling attendance closed it in the 1970s, and campers began again in 1980. The recordings, from 1982 to 1989, come from late November and include Tim Ruthven, Alex McCullough and Bud Hill.

Trumpets Being Polished In Heaven
Tim Ruthven's first baseball game in Georgia, where he prayed out loud for the home team, opens this talk. During a time of praise he turns the camp toward the return of Christ, which he says is for His entry rather than our exit, and presses everyone to meet God firsthand in a daily watch rather than secondhand through teachers. Recorded at the 1982 Texas Thanksgiving CFO.
