Carrie Rose and the Promised Pony

Ruth Robison learned wholeness by talking to the leg that still worked, and by answering the word cancer with “I can, sir.” She tells the camps about Carrie Rose, a five-year-old forbidden to lift her head. The girl asked whether Robison was God’s angel and whether she would ever ride her pony, then climbed into her lap and slept. Years later she took her letter in high school athletics.
