Sam, once a mental patient and now a social worker, opens by telling what Agnes Sanford’s book did for him. She goes on to teach what she believes Jesus did in Gethsemane and on the cross, taking the sin and the suffering of the whole race into himself, and she tells the 1971 North Carolina Kanuga CFO of an eleven-year-old dying of leukemia who asked, “is it all right if I go with him now?”
