After her husband’s death, Mary Virginia Parrish walked through every room of her empty house declaring, “Jesus Christ, my Lord is here. Here, here, here.” She recalls that memory during a week at the camps, and closes with the prayer of Saint Francis of Assisi, asking to become an instrument of that presence.
