Gordon Binning tells of a farmer who found that a coyote had killed one of his sheep, and who still said “praise the Lord, it was an old ewe” rather than a young lamb. He applies the same choice to a young man whose wife’s surgery left her unable to bear children, and who grew bitter and then chose again to trust God’s word.
