From the 1960 California Healing CFO. Bill Reed tells of a comatose Oklahoma City teenager and of a minister’s son unconscious with hepatitis. He urges families in the movement to pray aloud at the bedside. He believes even unconscious patients can hear and later remember it.
At the California Healing CFO at Forest Home in 1960, Ruth Robison teaches practicing wholeness in ordinary life and drawing on a deep reserve rather than exhausting oneself. She remembers a ten-year-old who came to the communion rail only to say that she loved him.

Opening the California Healing CFO at Forest Home in 1960, Bill Reed asks for what he calls a transfusion of the blood of Jesus Christ before the church dies of spiritual shock. He would rather call the Holy Spirit the Strengthener than the Comforter. James Moore Hickson preached that Jesus Christ is here today, and Reed takes the line for his own.

Morton Kelsey traces his own road into healing prayer for the California Healing CFO in 1960. It runs from quietly praying away his wife’s headache with the prayer-book rite, to a dying man at Good Samaritan Hospital who lived six more years, to the seminary dean who withdrew a lecture invitation as too dangerous.

Mary Welch tells of Lolan Briggs, an epileptic healed once he forgave his mother, and of a dismissed choir director whose disabled baby responded after a whole congregation confessed. Her teaching to the 1960 California Healing CFO is that since Pentecost prayer moves through one corporate body rather than through isolated faith.
