After forty years of marriage, and during her husband’s illness, Ruth Robison found the question had changed from what she could do for him to what she could be for him. That is what she brings the 1974 Iowa CFO on the first night, along with an aircraft that had to turn back to Chicago when its door came open in flight.

Divine love is a fluid rather than an act, Ruth Robison tells the Iowa CFO in 1974, and it takes the shape of whatever vessel it fills, so it comes out looking like the person it came through. Miss Fox, in a nursing home, wrote one word on the paper she was handed: love.
Ruth Robison walks campers through the facets of Jesus, from the human man she found in a novel on a Richmond library shelf to the risen Lord. A Tokyo surgeon who called himself a loyal Buddhist asked her what she had that he did not. Her answer, on an evening at the 1974 Iowa CFO, was that she had “a warm, personal revelation of God in Jesus Christ.”
Ruth Robison tells the campers at 1974 Iowa CFO that resurrection is a process already underway inside them, since the butterfly was wrapped up in the worm who said “nothing in the world will ever get me up in a contraption like that.” She reads John 15 on the vine and the pruning, then asks the camp to drop every judgment, even of the men caught up in Watergate, before the next night’s world broadcast.
Three-year-old Sarah laid a hand on her sister’s aching ear and said, “Now get ready for Jesus.” Ruth Robison tells that story at the Iowa CFO in 1974, along with the North Carolina potter who showed her why God remakes a broken vessel rather than throwing it out.
After her own recovery Ruth Robison was given a quiet, one by one healing ministry. She tells of Steve Bodie, sewn up and sent home full of cancer, who years later climbed the mountain to the cross with a cane and ran back down whole. Her warning to the Iowa CFO in 1974 is against settling for half a healing, since the will of God is total wholeness.
After asking for protection before walking into the hardware store that always left him depressed, Gordon Binning saw a glow ten feet wide around himself on the street and stepped aside so passers-by would not walk into it. He works through binding, cleansing and discernment with the Iowa CFO in 1974, and tells of a minister who emptied a dance hall by praying in it while it stood empty.
