  1. Saints Made By Mass Production

Pearl farmers force an oyster to make a gem by slipping a sliver of shell beneath it. The camps do the same with suffering people, Glenn Clark tells the Ohio CFO in 1954. They graft in a spiritual muscle until those people become, in his words, “saints by mass production.”

  2. Take the Elevator Above the Sun

A life lived “under the sun,” Glenn Clark says, is no more than what Ecclesiastes calls “vanity, vanity, all is vanity.” Only the Holy Spirit lifts that life into the higher life above the sun. He pictures campers at the Ohio CFO in 1954 stepping into a spiritual elevator to make the climb.

  3. The Book That Fell Open

Told at the last minute that she must speak, Mary Light opens a book to the words “I will help thee”. She gathers testimonies of giving, of beaming at strangers, and of a woman healed at a distance while she sat at lunch, in this talk to the 1954 Ohio CFO.
