A shining figure of Christ stood at one end of her bed with arms open, while a figure in black beckoned from the other. She preaches to the movement that “God loves you” is true right now, not something earned by good behavior.
Evelyn Carter Spencer preaches to the camps a word she says God gave her from Ephesians 4: “no ground,” refusing the enemy any foothold in anger, fear, or shame. She tells of getting angry behind a slow driver on a highway and hearing that there are “promiscuous parents, but not illegitimate children.” That word broke open hidden shame in a room of women.
