Bill Godfrey builds his fourth step teaching on the promise that “the truth will set you free.” At the 1998 Southern California CFO, he uses an idling airplane and a moving elevator to show that real faith means committing your body to what you trust.
Bill Godfrey opens by reading a prayer that begins “Lord Jesus Christ, I abandon myself to you.” He then pictures his walk with Jesus as a rowboat, with Jesus at the tiller steering while he does the rowing. He is speaking to the 1998 Southern California CFO.
At the Southern California CFO in 1998, Bill Godfrey leads campers through a prayer of committal for miscarried and aborted children, saying he has more grandchildren in heaven than on earth. He then guides partners through a spoken forgiveness exercise built on the parable of the unforgiving servant.
