Messages Given By Frank Harvey

Frank Harvey preaches on Christian maturity as a balance of faith, hope, and love. He shares his own conversion at age nine, and describes a woman healed of multiple sclerosis who ran up and down her stairs in celebration. The message comes from the 1988 Florida Family CFO.

At the Florida Family CFO in 1988, Frank Harvey and Shirley Harvey teach on overcoming struggle in the final session. Shirley teaches from Elijah’s flight from Jezebel in 1 Kings 19, and Frank shows how a tolerated sin can grow like a pet monkey that ends up demanding to be fed.

Frank Harvey and Shirley Harvey close a week of teaching with the story of a woman who froze her cursing pet bird, Frank’s picture of how God deals with people gently and then less gently until they yield. He then teaches from Matthew 7 that a minister’s character, not words or miracles, is the fruit by which people should be judged, and turns at the last to the baptism of the Holy Spirit. This was their closing session at the Florida Family CFO in 1988.

Frank Harvey and Shirley Harvey continue their teaching on becoming like Jesus at the 1988 Florida Family CFO. Shirley recounts how she learned to bless rather than resent people who upset her, once baking a cake for a family that had been unfriendly to them. Frank explains Jesus’ teaching that new wine must go into new wineskins.

Frank Harvey and Shirley Harvey teach on obedience at the Florida Family CFO in 1988. Shirley describes how a couple must “leave” old baggage to “cleave” to each other. Frank recalls how his father taught him to keep a plow horse aimed straight between the corn rows.
