At the 2002 California Central Pines CFO, Gloria Knapstad recalls teaching restless students to picture themselves as scattered sunlight that a magnifying glass focuses into fire, then carries that image into her own prayer life. She also shares her joy over her infant granddaughter, and lessons about loving people without a hidden motive.
Gloria Knapstad tells how years of prayer carried her daughter through a paralyzing illness. Later she saw a vision of her mother’s decaying reflection in a mirror, and that vision led her to reconcile with her mother before her mother’s sudden death, and their last words to each other were “I love you.” She was speaking at the California Central Pines CFO in 2002.
