The Baby the Doctors Said Was Dead

Lord, thank You for Your incredible plan of salvation through Your Son, Jesus. And thank You, Jesus, that You did not leave us orphaned, but You gave us Holy Spirit. And we now welcome You for all that You are going to do. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
Well, I bet some of y’all are glad to see me back. You didn’t realize Monday night, but I’m actually the calm one. And… Beth, we’re going to do this first, because Beth’s going to go on to the youth group. So, come on.
Forgot? No, we didn’t forget. Did you want us to forget? Yeah, a little bit. Yeah. There was a word of knowledge this morning. And… What happened? Okay, in my defense… You don’t have to get defensive. In my defense, I, if you know me at all, not really that quiet. Like, I’m like, oh, yeah. Like, oh, yeah. So, I may be a little klutzy. And I may have broken my sandal. And I may have fallen down. And, like, severely limped for, like, a week. And, like, obvious swelling. And she’s like, someone has swelling and hurting on the outside of an ankle. And I’m like, oh, I have no idea who that is. Like, they should stand up, because that’s really rude.
And who was it, really? It was me. And so, what did you do? As soon as she got off the stage, I ran up to her, and I was like, my bad. I knew it was me the whole time. I just didn’t really want to talk about how I fell down in front of people. More it was this situation, exactly, that I was trying to avoid. And then what happened? And then she prayed for my ankle. My ankle’s 100% better. And I haven’t worn high heels in a month, and I’m trotting around on them. And I was kind of wondering if we could do a healing thing for the balls of my feet now. Because I sort of forgot how badly heels hurt. You just don’t know what we’re getting ready to do. Bless you to go on if you want to go to your youth.
She’s trying to tell me she’s the shy one. So, on Monday night, remember we did a bunch of stuff. We had people stand who had pain or illnesses or infirmities or whatever. And I had them place their hands on where the infirmity was. Is this okay to tell this? It’s all right? All right, you want me to do it? And you put your hand right here, and you had a need. You want to tell them real quick what it was? I actually wasn’t even aware until it happened. Because I was just praying for other people. And when you were just shouting out the words and the healings, my sinuses just popped clear. And I was wondering on the drive up here, I forgot my nose stuff that enables me to breathe. And I wasn’t sure where the stores were, and I wasn’t leaving camp once I got here. And so we came to this… So you’re without your stuff. Yes. And I was wondering how in the world I was going to get through it, because I would have to breathe through my mouth. You can’t go a day. You can’t go hours without it, right? Right. And I’ve had sinus surgery, and it still has been an issue, because I had a deviated septum that the doctor said, don’t worry about it.
And when you shouted those prayers, I wasn’t even thinking of that. And all of a sudden, it popped clear, and I have not had to use it since that night. The power of the testimony. We’re going to talk about that. I need to… Whoa. Okay.
I wasn’t going to be that scary. You didn’t have to move. I need to do a couple of things before I get into really what I want to say. And I’m also aware that we’ve got a time situation. But that’s okay. God is in charge of all of that. We do have some CDs that are not for sale back on the back table. I recognize I’ve not said anything about them, and I really don’t want to, other than I would like to sow into y’all. Well, just to kind of… Because we believe in sowing. We’ve got seven CDs back there. We think they can be very helpful to you. And one of them… Actually, both of them I brought up here. I’m going to give away. Carol is the teacher on both of them. God has given her a revelation about something she learned about. There’s actually a technical name for this. But we have within ourselves a joy center. And we can get back to that joy center. We can get the joy in our life if we know how to do that. And it’s the Father’s love that brings that. I’m not giving a great explanation about that. But I’m telling you, if you want joy in your life, if you want it…
And it’s something real. And they call it the joy center. And one of the wonderful things about it is it’s in the brain. And as you know, most things in the brain are developed between the ages of one and two or one and three or something like that. And if you don’t get it developed, then you don’t get it. The joy center can be developed anytime in your life. So is there anybody who would like the joy center? I thought so, because I was waiting for you to raise your hand. Not that you need it necessarily, but I just think that you can use that. It’d be helpful to you. Anybody ever felt disqualified from the healing ministry in particular? Right there. Okay, your hand was first. I’m going to give it to you, and then I’m going to tell everybody what it is. There are disqualifiers that the enemy will use to try to convince you that you can’t be used in healing. And so this testimony, Created for Good Works, is Carol’s testimony of how God took her out of that place where the enemy was attacking her with disqualifiers. And literally, she got launched into more of the healing ministry. She’s always been used for inner healing and the things of the heart, but she didn’t think she was real anointed for physical healing.
And God really addressed that. And in the midst of all of that, we also… She tells the testimony of our marriage and how it got healed through the renewal. So it’s a real good teaching CD. As I said, those are back there for a suggested donation, but they’re not for sale. Okay.
The decisions, I’ve had a lot of questions about those. The decisions that I read on Monday night, those can be downloaded from our website. And I’ve got a piece of paper back there with the website address. If you want to know more about us, we do have our news… Not our website. Our church’s website. But I’ve got it back there on a piece of paper on the table. If you want to know more about us and our ministry and who we are and what we do, we have a brochure about some of the things we teach and stuff. So some of your churches may be interested in it. It’s called Power for a Purpose. Just the various things that we teach and equip. And that’s really what we do. We have an equipping ministry. And the newsletter is one of encouragement. We literally have about 250 people around the country, but obviously mostly in California and the western states. But we’re starting to expand and we have a lot more invitations in different places. And it’s an encouragement. People tell us that they put it on a bulletin board. The whole churches read it. They get encouraged by the stories. Many people have come into the ministry because of that. Many people have gotten healed by reading the stories.
Many people have gone on mission trips. So if you want to know about our ministry and what we do and get encouragement, I would just encourage you to sign up for the newsletter. And if you want to know how to partner with us, that’s there as well. Jamie talked about this morning, put his thing out there. I want to encourage you to literally sign up for both newsletters because they will encourage you. And I don’t know about you, but I have enough negative stuff going on in my world that I need encouragement constantly. I need encouragement. That’s why I listen to CDs all the time. I listen to teaching of people that I like who I believe are preaching the word of God. Men and women. Okay. Intercessors. We recognize the need for prayer. We’ve got… We had 94… 96 intercessors praying for us. And the thing got messed up on our server. And so now I think I only got about 50 of them. But we recognize the need for prayer. And so if God puts us on your heart to pray for us, I would encourage you to sign up for the intercessors list. Okay. Pardon me? Legibly. Your email address. Legibly. Legibly. Okay.
You know, when I got touched by God 14 and a half years ago, I really felt like God put a mandate on me. And basically it was heal the sick, teach others to heal the sick, and impart to them what God has done with you. Because I had a dramatic conversion. I alluded to it a little bit on Monday night. The very first person I prayed for when I got up off the floor got healed, and that was Carol. And I got launched into a healing ministry. I got hungry for healing. I started praying for people. I started getting words of knowledge. Demons started manifesting. Everybody would bring the demon-infested people to me because they thought I knew what I was doing. And what I was doing was powering out the demons until I found a better way of doing it that actually takes people into responsibility for where they open the doors. So that we could get them free so they stayed free. I could power out the demons, but they wouldn’t stay free because the door was still open. So we learned through the ministry how to do that. But I started getting words of knowledge and prophecy and praying for the sick and seeing all kinds of things happen. So I got launched in that.
And my heart is literally 1 Samuel 10:6. I want to see people change and transform. In that particular scripture, Samuel anoints Saul, and he says, The Holy Spirit, when He comes upon you, will be changed into a different man. And I literally have seen, we’re going to talk about this on Friday night. There’s going to be an impartation service. And there are going to be many of you who are going to receive a fresh impartation of God’s touch. As we have laid hands on people, as we have spoken the word and told the stories, we have seen people launched into ministry and just doing incredible things. I don’t want to take away from Friday night, but that’s what we’re going to do on Friday night. So that’s really my heart and what I want to see. But I started thinking, Bill, you have so much you’d like to say, and you only have so much time to say it in. And I started thinking, okay, if you walked away and they only remembered one thing, what would it be? And I sort of came up with this. And it could end up being four or five things, but we’re going to start with one thing.
It’s not about laughing or crying or shaking or falling down. You’re not more anointed or more spiritual because you fall down and shake and bake. Nor are you more spiritual if you stand like the oak of righteousness. God can touch you any way. It’s all about receiving. Matthew 10:7 and 8. Heal the sick, cleanse the leper, raise the dead, cast out demons. Freely you have received, freely give. It’s about receiving. And you can do that standing and you can do that falling down. It is amazing to me, though, when God’s power touches our frail little bodies, to me it’s any wonder that we can stand. Because it’s the power of the universe through the Holy Spirit that’s touching us. What I look for is the fruit. What I want to see is when the person gets up off the floor or when they stop standing there like an oak tree, are they more in love with Jesus? Are they more willing to follow Him and to do what He says? And to me, it’s all about the fruit. It’s not about the manifestations of the Spirit when He comes upon you. So if… And we’ve seen some wild things. And many times when you see wild things, it’s because God is anointing. Many times you also see that things that have held you in bondage are literally coming out.
When I got touched by God 14 and a half years ago, I literally shook violently. And I came off the ground 10 times like those paddles, you know, to start the heart. I believe I was going through more deliverance, getting rid of the stuff that had kept me from God. And I had a lot of stuff that kept me from God. I had critters. I was not walking alone. I didn’t know that, but I was not walking alone. And there was an empowering that was happening. And so many times when you see things like that, you see unusual things. If you just stop and take the snapshot, you start to wonder if that could be God. Anybody understand that at all? Am I with you? With me? Yeah. I’ve seen some really strange things, and I’ve looked at it and said, I don’t know if that’s God. And so what I look for is the fruit. So I guess out of all the things that I’d want you to take away from this, maybe that’s it. I want to tell you about prayer ministry. I want to just give you a picture because we are equippers. And what we find more than anything is most people don’t know their authority and who they are in Christ.
And because we, particularly this country, it has such a performance mentality. I know for me, I brought… I was very much of a type A. I was a commercial real estate agent. I was very successful. I was a driven kind of guy. I brought that performance mentality with me into my Christian walk. And so what we found is if we can get you to understand this picture, it starts to take all the pressure off of you. I want you to imagine a three-year-old little boy and dad is working around the house. Maybe he’s building a fence and he’s hammering nails. And the son wants to help dad. It’s a bonding time. But he cannot handle that hammer like dad. He doesn’t have the same eye-hand coordination. He doesn’t have the same strength and dexterity. And so when he gets ready to hit the nail, he’s all over the place. And dad places his hand over his and together they hit the nail. When you’re in prayer ministry and you stretch out your hand and say, Come Holy Spirit.
That’s the hand of the Lord on you. It’s not about you. It’s about what God wants to do through you. It starts to take… If you can catch that, it starts to take all that performance thing. You do know you can’t heal anybody. You do know that. It’s Him. You do know He couldn’t heal anybody apart from the power of the Holy Spirit. He was baptized in the Holy Spirit. He was taken into the wilderness. He came back in the power of the Spirit. So it’s God working through you to do the things that He said to do. Because He went to be with the Father. He sent the Holy Spirit. He said, I’m going to bring you a Comforter who’s going to come alongside of you, who’s going to be exactly like I am. He will teach you all things. And so when we just understand, we’re just the vessel. We’re just the donkey that Jesus rides in on. And if you’re willing to say, Lord, here I am, I’ll just be a donkey for You. Yeah, it’s amazing what He can do. I am making an assumption that all of you understand that we are all called to ministry. I don’t care if you’re a professional pastor, if you’re an elder of the church.
We’re all called to ministry. There’s no such thing. We need to stop this thing between the secular and the sacred. We’re all ministers. Some of us are out in the marketplace. Some of us are in professional ministry on a full-time basis. But we are all ministers.
Now, just like not all of us are called to be on the worship team, not all of us are called maybe to be on prayer ministry up here at the altar. My heart is that you would get so turned on by this that you would say, I want to know how to do this, that you’d go to your pastor and say, what must I do to get trained? I’m willing to come under your authority. I’m willing to read and study and do whatever you say to do. But, I mean, that’s my heart. But the reality is, if you’re never called to prayer ministry up here at the altar, you are called to prayer ministry out there. Because you have influence. You have people in your lives that the pastors will never be able to touch. You have people who live next door to you. You have relatives. You have people at the store. You have people that you work with, people that you play with, people that you play tennis with, or soccer, or whatever it is. I’ve literally prayed for the guy that I’m playing tennis with. When we take a break and he’s got one of those little braces on, that tennis elbow thing, I’ve prayed for my partner who thought I was crazy, but his arm got better.
And he didn’t care. And it’s out there. And we teach a lot about how do you do that? How do you be naturally supernatural? And we have a school of ministry at our church called the Potter’s House School of the Supernatural. This year we had 39 students. We ended up taking… We and the rest of the leadership of our church took them to Fiji. And they stepped into a realm of prophetic ministry healing that they never knew existed. They were very prophetic already. And we were starting to send them out on the streets and to the stores. But they walked into Fiji and it just was absolutely amazing. As they would walk through the villages, people would call them in because they were different. You know, they weren’t all lily white Caucasians. And we have some people from China and some India and Hispanics and Filipinos and Caucasians. Well, they’re in Fiji. So it doesn’t matter. They look different. And so they’re calling them in, you know. And they went into one place and the lady had gone into the hospital. You know, she had a reason why she went to the hospital in August, but she wasn’t paralyzed. Well, she came out of the hospital paralyzed. She’s in a wheelchair. She can’t walk. Or at least she couldn’t.
As the students, who had never done this before, ever, prayed for her, she came out of the wheelchair weeping, speaking in tongues. It just became who they were. When they went to the resort, after we had finished all the meetings in Fiji, and they went to the resort to go have a good time, it’s just who they were. So when they saw somebody who was an employee and they had a problem, they said, can we pray for you? The person got healed. That person went and dragged every single employee out of the resort, and they got prayed for, prophesied over, and then as they’re sitting around the pool enjoying themselves, they start prophesying and reading the mail of the New Zealanders who were on vacation.
The last night that we were there, we went to dinner at a resort, and on the drive back, they gave us the resort van as a taxi, and the driver didn’t speak very much English, so they sent somebody with us, and we start talking to him, and Carol says something like, are you a Christian, or have you heard about the revival in Fiji? Right. And the guy said, well, we know Benny Hinn’s been here, and a lot of people got healed and everything like that, and so we just started talking to him more, asking him questions or anything, and what it turns out was, it’s kind of like, you know, we’re waiting for the next crusade, and he’s coming back, and we were telling him about what we had been doing, and so Carol said, you know, do you have any kind of a need or a problem? He said, well, yeah, I’ve got pain. Where do you, where’s your pain? He said, my lower back. You know, I’m a porter. I carry heavy bags. And our point was, you don’t have to wait for Benny Hinn. We can lay hands on you right now and pray for you. And so as we’re driving on back to our hotel, we just lay hands on him and begin to pray.
And after a minute, we checked in with him and said, how are you doing? And he said, well, you know, I feel a lot better. Really? You don’t have any pain? No, I have no pain. Now, you know, we really couldn’t quite tell. I mean, sometimes you wonder, are you just being nice or whatever? But as we continue to drive on to the hotel, he turns to his buddy who’s driving, and in Fijian, he kind of says like…
Now, I know what that means. These white guys prayed for me. I feel a lot better. And he got out of the bus when we got to the hotel and he was drunk. And had a divine appointment because he was wanting to know more about the churches in the area. So that’s what it looks like. Now, let me lay a foundation for you real quick before I get into my message. Jesus said, if you’ve seen Me, you’ve seen the Father. He said, I only do what I see the Father doing. In Mark chapter 1, you’re familiar with this story, I hope. This is the leper who comes to Jesus. And he says, If You are willing, You can make me clean. Everybody know that story? And Jesus turns back to him and says… What? I am willing. Everybody know that? Jesus says, I am willing. So we go to Brazil and I’m telling this story. Leper comes to… Jesus says, if You’re willing, You can make me clean. And Jesus turns and says, I am… And I’m waiting for them to say willing in Portuguese. And they look at me blankly. And I’m looking at my translator and say, are you getting this right? Are they getting this right? Do they understand this? He said, yeah, I’m translating it right.
And finally, it came out. Our Bible doesn’t say that. In the Portuguese Bible, it doesn’t say I’m willing. It says, I want to. Are you catching this? He’s willing. He wants to. So in December and then again in April, we went to Japan. It doesn’t say I’m willing. It doesn’t say I want to. It says, it’s my heart to.
You heard Carol give just an incredible teaching today. It’s the Father’s love. He gave His Son that we would be healed, that we could be saved, that we could be delivered from evil spirits. It’s His heart. It’s just who He is. He can’t help it. He just can’t help Himself. And when we talk about healing, we get healing. So you got healed last night. Beth got healed. You got healed the other night. Your husband got healed the other night to about 85%. And then last night, got all the way. There was another guy, and I don’t know where you are right now. You wore glasses, and you were sitting over here. So that’s the problem. Y’all move around. We can’t find you. But the man over here, that Jamie called out with glasses, there you are right there. You got healed. Is this stuff real? Yes. It is real. And God is going to come and heal tonight. Now, let me transition to what I really want to talk about. I have two scriptures that are really on my heart, and I believe that God wants to marry. One of the scriptures is Revelation 19:10. The testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
And what that means is that when we speak of what Jesus does, it’s not that, you know, that little nice golf clap thing. Oh, isn’t that nice what Jesus did? No, it’s like, yes! Do it again! Again, the root word of testimony means to do again. When we speak of what Jesus did, we prophesy into the spiritual atmosphere and into the physical atmosphere that which can be done again. And if we can grab a hold of that, it can be duplicated again in our lives. Now, marry that with the scripture in Psalms 37:4.
How many of you have heard it taught like this? What that means is as you come into relationship with the Father, He puts desires into your heart so that you’ll pray them back to Him, that it’s His desires, but He puts them in your heart so that you will walk in His desires. Anybody ever heard it like that? Is this yes or no? Yeah. That’s how I’ve heard it. And I don’t believe that’s what it means. I really don’t. I believe God cares about what we care about. Turn with me to John 14. I want to show you a couple of things.
I’m going to go real quickly here, but… John chapter 14, verse 13. And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you ask anything in My name, I will do it.
John 15. If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it should be done for you. Going on a little bit further in verse 16. At the bottom of verse 16. That whatever you ask the Father in My name, He may give you. In verse 16, or chapter 16, verse number 23. Whatever you ask the Father in My name, He will give you. Now this does not mean that He just gives us willy-nilly. It comes out of that relationship. Look at chapter 15. Verse 5. I am the vine, and you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit. For without Me, you can do nothing. And verse 7. If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire. That word, desire, of the Father. When we ask according to Him, He will do it for us. I believe that as we bring forth the desires of our heart, He listens to us. He cares about what we care about. In Acts chapter 10, the angel of the Lord comes to Cornelius in a vision and says, your prayers and your alms have come up as a memorial before God. He cares about our prayers.
You know the story of Moses and God speaking. And he’s up on the mountain and the tribe has made the golden calf. And God is furious. And basically says, this is my translation, Moses, get out of the way. Those people, your people, that you brought out of Egypt, I’m going to kill them.
Well, now, wait a minute, God. First of all, they’re Your people. And You brought them out of Egypt. And God, this is not going to look good on Your resume if You kill them because the neighboring tribes are going to say He can’t even control His own people. And God goes, yeah, you’re right.
He cared about what Moses cared about. The story in John chapter 2, the wedding from Cana. They run out of wine. Pardon me. Time? Five minutes? Five minutes? I hadn’t even started. Thank you. The wedding. Mary comes to Jesus, says they’ve run out of wine. And He says, what’s it to Me? It’s not My time. And she doesn’t argue with Him. She doesn’t… God! They need wine! Come on! All she does is turn to the servants and say, whatever He says, do it. But in the midst of this, something transpires because all of a sudden He’s saying, go and fill the wine, the water pots, and then take the water to the man. He cared about what was on her heart. And it became Jesus’ heart. So when we start to get a desire, when we start to get an understanding that our prayers count… So we’re in Bakersfield, California. This is about maybe a year ago, two years ago. There’s a woman, she comes in, she’s doing one of these things.
Obviously cannot bend her leg. In pain. My heart went out for her. This is wrong. This is illegal. God, You didn’t do this. This is an afflicting spirit. This is not right. We want to pray for that. I’m just… I’m dying to pray for her. So Carol’s giving the message that morning and when she finishes, we go into ministry time and I go and get her. Put her on the front row. What’s happened? Well, I tore my ligament two weeks ago. I don’t have insurance. Can’t go to the doctor. I’ve been going to chiropractor. He hasn’t been able to help me. I’m a dancer and I can’t… It just hurts. I can’t put any weight on it and obviously I can’t bend it and it just hurts. So we pray for her for a couple of minutes. Why don’t you give it a try now? How are you doing? Well, it feels a little bit warm. That’s good. Warm’s good. Try it out. So she very gingerly moves it a little bit. Well, actually, it’s a little bit better. That’s good. Thank you, Lord. A little bit better is good but we want more. So we press in for a little bit more and I begin to pray a little bit more. I bring somebody else alongside of me because I don’t want to be the only one.
Tag team praying. It works great. And we prayed for another minute. Then we said, why don’t you get up and walk and try? See, many times when we start to put our faith in action, when we actually start to do something, that’s when the healing happens.
So she gets up and she does one of these things. Weeping. Just tears. Oh, I loved it. I loved it. The desire of my heart went out for her. About three weeks later we’re in another church. There’s a woman on the worship team who I can tell, first of all, she hadn’t been around much and when she has been around she’s been in the back of the church. I can tell she doesn’t like this stuff. Her church is, her pastor’s into renewal. Her church is, eh, not so much. I know that doesn’t describe any churches here but anyway, she’s up on the worship team and she’s got one of those booty casts on the foot so obviously she’s got something’s wrong. She comes off the worship and she’s, you know, like one of these things. Oh, like hurting. And she goes to the back. She goes and sits as far away as she can in the back. And I’m giving my message, whatever the message was. And in the message was the story I just told you about the woman in Bakersfield. And so I finished that story and out of my mouth comes these words. And you! You’re the one I want for today. I want to see God heal you today. I mean, I’m not really quite like that. I know some of y’all think I’m pretty… well, I’m not.
You know, and like I said, after Jamie and Carol, I am the calm one. I just, you know, it just got… but my heart went out for her. Even though maybe she doesn’t like this stuff. That’s okay. Five minutes later, she stands up and interrupts me. She interrupts me. What we call interruption, rudeness, God many times calls spiritual hunger. She says, I’ve got a broken foot. I got a broken toe. By this time, she’s got the cast off. And she’s wiggling her foot all around in front of everybody. And of course, everybody knows her. And she says, and I’ve got plantar fasciitis. Mostly, I never heard of that. Most of y’all probably don’t know what plantar fasciitis is. It’s something that attacks the ligaments. It can be extremely painful. What they tell you is, you need to rest. Get off your feet. Who can do that? And she said, I’ve had it for years. And I had just incredible pain. And it’s all gone.
We were in a church in Midland just a few months ago. And all during the meetings, I would see this woman. And she was in the meetings sometimes. But mostly not. I think she was taking care of the kids. But Sunday, she was on the worship team. She’s got one of these great big booty casts that goes from the knee all the way down. It’s flexible. She can take off. And my heart went out for her. I just, oh God, I want to see her get healed today. Well, at least I didn’t shout at her. After the service, I went and found her. I said, what’s going on? She said, I had a bunion problem. To fix it, they had to break a bone. You know, it’s bad enough to break your bone. But when they purposely do it, I mean, I’m like, man. They had to break her bone? And she’s in this cast. And it’s been okay, but she can’t put any weight on it. And it’s been all right because she’s been able to get around. But that Friday, this is now Sunday. That Friday, she had been laid off from her work. Now she’s got a need to get around better to go try to find a job. How would you like to go try to find a job with one of these cumbersome casts on?
My heart just went out even more. I said, well, let’s pray for you. So she took off the cast because I want to see, you know, if something happens. And I don’t want it to be restricted by the natural stuff. Prayed for her. She said, I feel heat. And then I said, well, okay, let’s test it out a little bit. I don’t want you to hurt yourself, but test it out. And so she stood up. She said, that doesn’t hurt. I said, walk on it. So she walks a little bit. She says, that doesn’t hurt. And she’s walking absolutely normal. She walked out of that church carrying that big old brace. There was a power, I think, in praying for her because my heart went out for her.
The power of the testimony. The power of the testimony. We’ve got it on our CD back there. It’s called Words of Knowledge. It teaches how to recognize words of knowledge. There’s also actually another teaching on that, so you get two for one. But on that CD, you can actually hear somebody getting healed as I tell these two stories. We’re in Alaska. I’m giving Words of Knowledge that I’ve got in various pains. Somebody’s got pain here. Somebody’s got pain, you know, in the back. Somebody’s got pain here in the headache. Somebody’s got pain on the foot. And somebody’s got pain on the left. And before I could say hip, this person jumps up and says, that’s me! Unlike Beth.
See, when you’re not here, you get picked on. That’s me! Well, it was so dramatic, I wanted to find out what happened. And I went to him. He said, while you were talking, my hip began grinding. And I felt a lot of heat. I had hip replacement surgery a year and a half ago. The doctors told me we did the very best we could do. There’s nothing more. We don’t think another surgery would help you. You’re just going to have to live with pain. You’ll never sit in a 45 degree angle again without pain. You’ll never be able to touch your toes. You’ll never be able to tie and untie your shoes yourself. You’ll never be able to run. You know, you just can’t do a lot of things that you used to be able to do. And he said, I’ve lived with that for a year and a half. But when you said left, I knew it was for me, all the pain and stuff left. The grinding was coming and bringing me relief. And I stood up and I was totally healed. And for the next three days, we had him come up and give his testimony. We were in a church in Alaska. About 600 lily white people and one black guy.
And he was so demonstrative that we had him come give his testimony. And he would come up and do the duck walk like Chuck Berry. And he would tie and untie his shoes. And then he started running around the church to demonstrate how healed he was. I really do believe God likes to heal people of color and different ethnic origins. Caucasians because He knows they’ll praise Him more than us lily white Caucasians.
Well, three weeks later, we’re in a church in Seattle and I’m telling that story. There’s a man sitting about where you are in the striped shirt. And he said, I’ve got the exact same condition. Hip replacement a year and a half ago. Been in pain ever since. If God will do it for that guy in Alaska, He’ll do it for me. He grabbed a hold of the testimony.
And he got healed. And so we’re telling this story now about a year ago in a meeting. And on that CD, you can actually hear the woman get up and say, I can’t do this. I can’t do this. I can’t do this. God had told her, if you’ll get up, I’ll heal you. And because she remembered hearing the story about the guy running around the church, she started running around the church. She had had two hip replacements. She didn’t have pain anymore, but she couldn’t move. I mean, it was one of these waddle things. She just couldn’t move. She said, I was doing about half a mile an hour on the treadmill, trying to exercise, trying to be better. Now, half a mile an hour isn’t very fast from what I understand. And she said, when I got up and started running, I was completely healed.
I got to tell one more, and then we’re going to go into ministry, because I think it’s important for where we’re going to go. The power of the testimony. We went into a mortgage office. We bought a house for the first time in 11 years last year. So we’re in this… We closed in May, so now it’s been a year. We went into the mortgage office in March. And there are a couple in our church. They’re a good, strong Christian couple. Their whole office is Christians, about seven people. And they said, you know, we’d like to pray for you, that you’d get a good loan, we’d get the right loan for you, find the right house, and maybe you could pray for us. Sure. So they pray for us. And then they said, maybe you could pray here for… The gal’s name was Sherry, as a matter of fact. Maybe you could pray for Sherry. She’s got a need. Well, Sherry immediately breaks down, weeping. Turns out she’s pregnant. She had been pregnant the previous November and had lost the baby through miscarriage. And had known, going to the doctor, etc., the doctor said, the baby is dead. The baby’s in the womb, and you’ll miscarry. The baby’s dead. She’s now pregnant again in March, and she is feeling everything that she’s felt before.
You women, you know your bodies. Getting a lot of nods. You know your bodies. There’s no movement, there’s no kicking, there’s no heartbeat. She knows the baby is dead. So we began praying for her. Well, I believe in the power of the testimony. And I had just heard a CD, a teaching, coming out of Redding, California, where someone was going down the prayer line, praying for people. When they get to this woman, who is obviously pregnant, they begin blessing the babies. Kind of a normal thing that you would do to see a pregnant woman. And the woman stopped. No, no, no, no. You don’t understand. The baby is dead. I’m going to have a miscarriage. Or they’re just waiting to take the baby out. No, no. You don’t understand. This baby is alive. No, no, no, no. You don’t understand. The baby is dead. The doctors have confirmed it. They’ve done all the tests. The baby is dead. They’re just waiting to take it out. No, you don’t understand. The word of the Lord says, this baby lives. And she began praying and prophesying over the womb and prophesying over this baby. And that baby was born healthy in Redding, California. So, I start doing warfare, calling forth the life. Carol and I began praying for this woman.
We believed that that was not of God. That’s not God’s plan for this woman. That’s not God’s plan for this baby. We did warfare, not by screaming and yelling at the devil, but stepping back on the rug of peace, declaring who we are in Christ, that this baby will live. We prophesied. And she went to the doctor the next day. And the baby is alive, healthy heartbeat, healthy sonogram. And that baby was born perfectly healthy this last November. As I have told that story, I’m in a vineyard church in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. And I’m telling the story as I get to a woman here, like on the front row, just like this. And I’m saying, the woman in Redding’s prophesying over this woman, the baby will live, etc. I’m getting people looking at me like, and I’m thinking, this is either good or bad. Not sure which. I find out later, this woman has had five miscarriages. And she is heartbroken. They’ve quit trying to have a baby. They’re living in fear, like Carol talked about. They’re discouraged as they can be. So we ended up praying and prophesying over this woman that she would have a normal pregnancy. She and her husband, they would be able to conceive. The baby would be brought to term.
That the baby would take the favor of the Lord, have the hand of the Lord on it. And the pastor, I kept in conversation with him by email over these last year or so. And just about two or three months ago, he emailed me and said, the baby was born healthy. And then the power of the testimony, just because I’ve told that story now so many times, somebody heard it in the conference at Randy Clark’s church, the conference in Harrisburg, back last November. They came to me and said, we’re pregnant again. And we’ve had five miscarriages. We’re right where those people were. We’re in discouragement. We’re in fear. We’re afraid of what’s going to happen. Would you pray? I prayed over that. I declared life into that womb that it would be brought to full term. And I’ve gotten an email from them. It was about a month ago. They delivered a healthy baby. Yes. The power of the testimony. The power of the testimony. And the desire. He cares about what you care about.
Now, I know we can go several ways. You want to do families? Yeah. I want to stay within the bounds a little bit of the camp. And… And… They’re going to go… You’re going to go need to get your kids at nine… Ish.
And we do want to offer to pray for those of you who need to go get your kids first. If that’s okay with everybody. And that’s one of the traditions of the camp. We want to pray for you with the prayer teams. So I’d like all the prayer teams to come on up. You know who you are. And kind of spread across the front here.
For any of you who need to go get your kids. For any of you who need to go get your kids, you can go get them right now and bring them back with the families and pray. Or you can come get prayed for it right now. But we want to give you first priority. So if you need to go get your kids right now and you’d like prayer, before you go, I want you to come on up to the prayer teams as they’re scattered across the way here. If you want to go get your kids right now, you can go get them.
And it looks like almost everybody is. Okay, so here’s what I want to do. Particularly, as I talked about hips and knees and ankles, if you have any kind of a problem between the hip and the toes, right or left, I believe God’s anointing is on that right now, tonight. Right now. If you have any kind of a problem in that, I want to invite you forward right now. Quickly. Quickly. Don’t wait. Don’t wait. Just go to one of the prayer team people. Just go to one of the prayer team people.
