John Maillard recalls a vision from his English parish days of Christ standing with his hands held behind his back. That sign, he felt, showed the church’s own neglect holding back its healing. He then tells the Indiana CFO in 1957 of a woman given up as incurable who recovered after taking Communion. She returned to testify before the doctors who had treated her.
