Tommy Tyson opens with a preface by Phillips that calls the first Christians “pioneers of a new humanity.” He then tells the North Carolina Kanuga CFO in 1974 that Christian prayer is beholding Jesus and accepting whatever you see in Him. When the old self stirs, he says, a Christian is a homing pigeon that turns straight back to center.
