The Indiana CFO of 1955 heard Ruth Robison lay out five convictions to hold before praying for anyone who is ill. She then tells how her Richmond prayer group bought a dying seventeen-year-old a light blue satin robe and slippers for the foot of her bed. They refused anything cheaper, because “unless this prayer group can have the faith of a satin robe and satin slippers, she will not get well.”
