Jim Christian opens with the story of a truck driver hauling two tons of canaries in a one-ton truck to keep them airborne. He then tells the camps that no one can truly love a neighbor, or God, without first knowing and loving themselves. He traces the difference between Adam’s self-will and a Christ who, he says, “did absolutely nothing” apart from the Father.
